We've installed RDS 5.1 using LDAP V6.2 on a Windows 2003 Win32 server. Trying to use with DOORS 9.2.0.3. We started out installing in Standalone mode and importing DOORS users and groups.
I read the RDS Product Manual and think that "OS Authentication" mode will provide something between full scale LDAP and standalone mode. I have run rdsconfig.cmd to reconfigure RDS using "OS Authentication mode" and "Trusted OS Authentication" options. However, I'm not seeing any difference in behavior from the "Standalone mode". The RDS Administration still shows "Standalone mode"--should it be "OS Authentication mode"?
I'm expecting that the RDS server will use the Windows OS to authenticate rather than the passwords imported from DOORS. Is there some switch that I'm missing to configure each user to use OS Authentication? Am I correct in my understanding of how OS Authentication should work? Thanks.
